Protocol B-21 A Clinical Trial to Determine the Worth of Tamoxifen and the Worth of Breast Radiation in the Management of Patients with Node-Negative, Occult, Invasive Breast Cancer Treated by Lumpectomy Specific Aims The primary goal of this study is to test the hypothesis that long-term treatment with tamoxifen (with and without breast radiation) is effective in prolonging disease-free survival in patients with occult, invasive breast cancer. This study specifically addresses whether patients with small invasive lesions will benefit from tamoxifen, and additionally will investigate the benefit of radiation therapy for these patients. ![]() |
